Deshaun Watson Stated He Might’ve Fractured His Shoulder Earlier Than Week 10 Against The Great Baltimore Ravens
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Deshaun Watson  suffered a nasty shoulder injury last season that kept him out most of the season, and the majority of the injury looked like it happened in Week 10 on the road in a win against the Baltimore Ravens, but that might not be the case.

Deshaun Watson’s Injury Started In Week 3

The Browns welcomed the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, and Watson played great football. He looked fine after the win.

Reports came out later in the week that stated Watson was dealing with a shoulder injury, and many fans couldn’t figure out where it came from because he didn’t seem to get hurt in the Titans game.

Watson would miss the Week 4 game against the Ravens and then Week 6 against the 49ers since Week 5 was a bye week. Watson missed two games in a row but would look to start in Week 7 against the Colts. He would only play a few drives in that game because he looked awful.

Deshaun Watson wouldn’t return until Week 9, looked great against a bad Arizona Cardinals team, then played terrific in the second half of the Week 10 game against the Ravens, leading the Browns to a comeback win.

Cleveland Browns Fans Felt Great About Watson

Browns fans felt like they were on top of the world after that win, but a few days later, a report said that Watson hurt his shoulder again and would need season-ending surgery.

All Cleveland fans felt sick when they heard that news, but Joe Flacco did come off the couch and save the season, leading the Browns to the playoffs. Many fans were still upset about Watson because he was supposed to be the guy to take the Browns to the playoffs.

Watson Said His Injury Might Not Have Happened In Week 10

The Browns started voluntary workouts this week, and Watson spoke to the media in an article from Cleveland.com; Mary Kay Cabot stated Watson may have fractured his shoulder In Week 3 and not in Week 10, which led him to be out for the year.

It would really suck if Watson did fracture his shoulder in Week 3 and played through it, not knowing it could lead to further issues down the road. Who knows if his shoulder will be the same again after this surgery? I hope Watson can return to his Houston Texan form in 2024.
