Earlier this week, Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones was contemplating a change for the 2024 season. They signed Jack Jones off of waivers after the New England Patriots released him.
He came to the Raiders during the middle of the season, fit right in with the culture, and made game-winning plays against both the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
During the week, Jones was on vacation. He took to Twitter to answer a question someone asked about his jersey number, basically saying he was contemplating changing it for the 2024 season.
When the Patriots drafted him, he sported No. 34. Last season, before he got to the Patriots, he chose to change his number to 13. When he got to the Raiders, he wore No. 18. In college, he wore Nos. 21 and 0. Currently, No. 0 is worn by Jakorian Bennett, and No. 13 is worn by Anthony Brown Jr., so it was really unclear what number he would change to.
It’s official I’m staying 18 this year

But, on Tuesday, he revealed he is staying with the No. 18.
