We’ve got the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics Game 2 Results according to NBA 2K24. Boston earned an easy victory in Game 1, crushing the Cavaliers 120-95. Cleveland, meanwhile, is dealing with a few injuries that could affect their overall rotation. Our Game 1 simulation did accurately predict the real game’s outcome, though our results were a bit more dramatic. Nevertheless, we’ll see if 2K24 can accurately predict Game 2 of the Conference Semi Finals.

Cavaliers vs. Celtics Conference Semi Finals Game 2 Results According To NBA 2K24

According to our NBA 2K24 simulation, the Boston Celtics will defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 by a score of 118-113. Despite a strong third quarter effort that saw Cleveland take a lead, the Celtics’ offense exploded in the fourth quarter to secure Game 2. The Cavaliers’ defense had no answer for Jayson Tatum, who went off with 57 points.

TEAM Quarter 1 Quarter 2 Quarter 3 Quarter 4 FINAL
CLE 23 27 27 36 113
BOS 26 30 17 45 118

Boston set the tone right away with a 6-0 lead, thanks to two 3-Point shots from Tatum. Unlike our Game 1 simulation, which saw Boston successfully come back from a 19 point deficit, the Celtics took a clear lead right away. They managed to maintain lead throughout the entire first half.

However, the Cavaliers’ defense woke up in the third, limiting the Celtics’ offense to just 17 points. However, they fell back apart in the fourth as they let Boston drop 45 points on them. Unlike the Celtics in our Game 1 sim, the Cavaliers were simply unable to make a comeback. The Celtics also converted a better percentage of three pointer and free throws which aided their cause.

In terms of player performances, Jayson Tatum definitely deserves the game ball. His 57 point almost matches half of the Cavalier’s final score on the night. Al Horford led the team with rebounds (10), while also adding 9 points, 4 assists, and a steal. The rest of the Celtics team played well, though there weren’t many fantastic individual performances.

As for the Cavaliers, both Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus led the team in total scoring (26). However, Mitchell also led the team in turnovers (2) in a game that only ended in a five point difference. Furthermore, Evan Mobley earned 20 rebounds throughout the night while Darius Garland dropped 21 points. However, none of these performances helped the team achieve victory.

Additionally, check out some of the game stats:

With the win, the Celtics extend their lead in the series to 2-0 against an injured Cavaliers team. At this point, the team needs to focus on closing out the series to reduce injury risks and player fatigue. They now head to Cleveland, where they hope to end the series after two swift games. We’ll see if the Celtics can keep it up on the road.

As for the Cavaliers, a second loss away doesn’t bode well for the team. Sometimes just winning one game away is usually enough to boost both team and fan morale for the return back home. However, it seems Cleveland heads back home with their heads down but hopes high. We’ll see if they can rebound back in The Land.

In terms of accuracy, we try our best to closely resemble the game. Firstly, we adjust CPU sliders to create more realistic scoreboard and shot success rates. Then, we run the game on 12-minute quarters. However, we’re limited to using 2K Sports’ latest rosters, which might not always account for the most recent injuries. So we try to use the projected starting lineup, limiting the injured players’ time.

Additionally, we tried to create custom rosters in which we removed injured players to prevent the injured player from appearing. However, this caused technical glitches, along with several game crashes. However, we’ll continue to look for ways to improve the realism of our series. Regardless, we had a blast watching this simulation.

Overall, we feel it’s possible Boston wins this game by even more than the score you see here. However crazier things have happened, and an upset on Cleveland’s end would certainly make for an exciting headline.
